Born in Queens, NY and raised in New Jersey, nancy P. was the first in her family to discover a passion for acting and filmmaking. She began her career in broadcasting, behind the camera, and as an on-air personality for a commercial radio station in Corning, NY.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 1999, she began immersing herself in the craft of acting, and has done so for nearly 12 years. Her studies consist of a variety of schools, including the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, where she studied Shakespeare, Jacobean Tragedy and Restoration Comedy. She is currently a member of the improvisational school, LA Connection and performs there on a weekly basis.
nancy P. has worked in over 25 short films, features and television programs including HBO’s new show, “Tell Me You Love Me.” Her most recent works include Robert Beaucage’s highly acclaimed feature, “Spike” and Angelo Bell’s original web series “The Resurrection of Serious Rogers.” Her acting has presented her with various awards and has premiered throughout the world, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Alongside acting, nancy P. is an ardent creator and editor. She recently completed her first feature length documentary entitled, “Mobile.” The film is an amusing and innovative look at 6 creative and diverse working class adults, who struggle not only with their shared day job, but with their own personal obstacles as well. She describes the films as “an outrageous, erratic tale filled with sincerity, openness and truth.”
